Mid-Century British Music 1945 -1965

Please do come and join the Soave singers and friends on

this last weekend of summer to hear songs and piano

pieces from Britten to the Beatles, in this lovely church in

Thornhill Square, Barnsbury.

We are featuring some of the music of Ronald Binge who

wrote Sailing By – the theme for the BBC shipping forecast,

as well as the 1950 favourite Elizabethan Serenade, and

who had a special relationship with St Andrew’s Church.

Come and hear music you may remember or be surprised

to discover – and sing along as well!

Concert starts at 7pm with drinks and nibbles. Music

7.30pm to 8.30pm; pizza and wine till 9.30pm. All free.
