WONDERS OF NATURE – a solo recital for voice and piano + audience!

I am delighted to present to you my first full recital for voice and piano.

In previous concerts I have explored singing and playing at the same time – a bit unusual perhaps for the classical music sector, but very enjoyable!

A few gifts came out of the pandemic of 2020, and one of them for me was the privilege to connect to people through a free online Singalong which I run for 2 years – this partly led to my discovery of the joy of playing and singing simultaneously.

Not all songs are suitable for this format, but adding some of this repertoire to my solo recitals has been great fun- and I was thrilled about the positive feedback.

For ‘Wonders of Nature” I have chosen highlights by Franz Schubert, Clara and Robert Schumann, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Amy Beach and Samuel Barber which all celebrate the love of nature – and love in general.

Since running the Singalong I have always thought of doing a live event, but somehow this never happened as life returned to normal.

This time, I am also adding a taster of a Singalong: A couple of popular songs for everyone at the end of the concert – all are invited to join in, if they wish – or just listen, if they don’t.
